Supertest: GSOR 1006 Sch. 7, Tier IX British Wheeled Medium [26 Jun ’23]

2 min read

The second vehicle from the upcoming line of British wheeled mediums arrived on Supertest in late June 2023:

IX 🇬🇧:MT:GSOR 1006 Sch. 7

New Tier IX vehicle is soon coming to the Supertest – GSOR 1006 Scheme 7.

The GSOR 1006 Scheme 7 is a British Tier IX wheeled medium tank.

This is a vehicle that boasts good mobility and view range and comes equipped with a sniper gun. The vehicle’s high specific power allows it to take up key spots on the battlefield together with medium tanks and support allies by changing its positions across the map. However, you’ll need to be careful, as it has poor armoring—so try to avoid hits.

The vehicle will be armed with a 105 mm gun that reloads every 11.7 s. The penetration value of its standard and special shells is 248 and 315 mm, respectively. Its damage per shot is 390 HP, its gun dispersion is 0.32, and its aiming time is 1.9 s.

The frontal armoring is up to 60 mm thick. The vehicle’s durability is 1,650 HP. Its maximum forward speed is 65 km/h, and its specific power is 24.4 h.p./t. The view range is 390 m.

Brief Historical Background

As mentioned in our initial coverage of the branch, this vehicle represents one of the proposals from the GSOR 1006 series, featuring a 105 mm gun on a light 6×6 chassis (also wielding 12 ready-to-fire missiles in the back of the turret, albeit these have been omitted from the in-game model). The turret used in the design below appears to be represented by the stock turret in-game.

WoT Express has published some early in-game previews of the vehicle (shown in its top configuration, with SD textures):

This vehicle, along with the rest of the British wheeled mediums, is slated to arrive with Update 1.22 sometime in August/September 2023. Stay tuned!
