Special Vehicles Incoming (EU)

2 min read
Update: 29/12/2018
Wargaming didn’t like these deals to be leaked and decided to change them. It’s not yet clear if they will be actually available soon or not. More information as soon as I have it.

The Advent Calendar might have been a bit of a disappointment for players this year, but that doesn’t mean some interesting vehicles aren’t still coming to the Premium Shop in the next few days.

KV-5 – Soviet Heavy Tank

KV-5, a tank that is well-known for its armour, utility droids and expensive health insurance for its Radio operator.

KV-5

From 28 December to 1 January 2019, the preferential matchmaking Soviet heavy tank will be available for you go buy, unfortunately, there are no details if it will be available on its own, or just in a bundle.

AMX 13 57 – French Light Tank

big absence in this year Advent Calendar was the French Tier VII Premium light tank AMX 13 57. Fear not, if you are looking to buy the French slinger he will be available very soon.

AMX 13 57

From 29 December 2018 to 1 January 2019, you will have the opportunity to buy the vehicle, unfortunately, there are no details if it will be available on its own, or just in a bundle.

Pz.Kpfw. IV Hydrostat

The rarer Pz.Kpfw IV, a great collectors Premium tank that has been available just a few times in quite expensive bundles, will make its return together with two other Tier VIII tanks.

Hydrostat

From 1 January 2019 to 9 January 2019, you will have the opportunity to buy the vehicle, unfortunately, there are no details if it will be available on its own, or just in a bundle.

  1. I strongly advise against buying the KV-5. Having had it for many years and played it before and after the buffs, it is a truly awful vehicle in game, and a great disappointment.

  2. Also dont buy Pz IV Hydrostat
Its just worst Pz IVH from tech tree with even less armor and terible gun handling

  3. The AMX-13-57 is pretty hilarious given it gets reasonable matchmaking, a REALLY fast autoloader, and also a VSTAB. It’s one of the few premiums I don’t regret buying.

  4. If you dont support any of wargaming p2w practices then you shouldnt support them.
    **** IS3As, **** Defenders, **** P2W tanks in general.
    **** wg in particular.

  5. Poor Wg i,m crying for them , because nobody buys their balance trash tanks but when they sell good tanks everybody jump on them to point that wg sell broken op tanks.
What Wg should do? To see their own agenda and give a **** about people opinions because whatever they are doing is wrong….hihi

  6. I own a KV-5.

It is not really in a happy place at the moment. It struggles enormously against Object 252U/Defender and VK100.01(P) at tier VIII, and Mauschen, Type 4 and quite a few others at tier IX.

If you get a game with no enemy super heavies, just ordinary heavies it can do sort of all right (nothing special).

What really never gets old is ramming. The KV-5 is a bit of a meme tank in that regard. If you can build up a bit of speed (especially down a hill) and ram into something there is only ever one result as 100 tons of KV-5 comes into contact with anything else. If you accept that the KV-5 is a comedy ramming tank, then you should enjoy it. If you expect the KV-5 to be competetive with super heavies then you will be sorely disappointed.

AMX 13 57 – I own the GF version and the non-clown skin version for double crew training.

When is had +3 MM it was deeply poor. Now that it only gets +2 MM it has become much stronger. Suits players who like playing light tanks. Unforgiving to players not good in lights due to speed and turning. Personally I love it.

    Pzkw.IV (Hydrostat) – I own one.

Benefits from preferential MM. Would be utter garbage without pref MM. Overall OKish but nothing special.

  7. I read somewhere that you can ask in a ticket to buy it for gold. People did it for the Caernevaron Action X and support gave them the tank.

  8. You’re the disappointment commander, KV5 was and is an excellent tank.

  9. 28th and no KV-5 in the shop/prem shop….
    NA got the 13-75 yesterday….. (27th)
    EU being fecked over again.

  10. Not really – the only Tank I wanted was the 1357 – all the rest I either have or have no interest in,
So yeah for me the 24 days was pointless

  11. Harkonnen, I really wish you had made sure it was OK to release the information before you did, you have inadvertently messed this chance up for everyone that was looking forward to it, perhaps next time ask WG if it is OK to release this info so the community doesn’t suffer.

  12. Thanks for the fake news, as a tank collector I’ve been waiting for the KV-5 for almost two years and was super excited to hear one was coming, looked forward to it for days 🙁

  13. It wasn’t fake news, for some reason WG decided not to replease these tanks in the end…

  14. A leak is never OK with WG, why they decided not to sell these tanks in the end, who knows. I’ve leaked it before about the 252U and they sold it anyway… It wasn’t the community who “suffered” but WG that didn’t make the sales… To be honest, I really don’t understand why the players knowing before hand these sales are coming could be hurtful for WG.

  15. Uuhhh

    Wot community at it’s finest.

They did it on the AX because the calendar was “bugged”
(Aka wanted to squeeze more money without looking bad)

They will not sell the kv5 for gold in game EVER!

  16. Blaming him?
They just just shuffled the ****ing calendar!

They never planned to sell those on the European server at this time!
The leak (if it was want to begin with) is probably based on the US server…

No use one minute and remember they are selling their Caern Ax still!

    432 too!

They are selling LOOT BOXES still!

Don’t you use half a brain and realise they will put one thing after another!?

As I called, because it’s always the case!?
