To wrap up the French destroyers analysis, let’s have a look at the Siroco, the tier IV premium (no this article isn’t coming late at all).
The Siroco is a Bourrasque-class destroyer of the French navy. She was completed in 1927. The ship took part in the evacuation of Dunkerque but was hit by torpedoes from the German S-boats S-23 and S-26 and sank. Of the 930 troops and crew aboard, 660 were killed.
The Siroco is protected by 10 mm of armor for both the hull and the superstructure. The gun mounts are however only protected by 3 mm of armor.
Personal opinion on the ship
This ship is basically a carbon copy of the Bourrasque. There are some tiny differences in terms of firing angles for example of the maneuverability but except that, it’s just the same ship as Bourrasque.
I’m not sure of the purpose of the ship here… She doesn’t have anything special, she doesn’t really have a nice history. If it doesn’t change at all, I would expect her to be one of these ships that you get for free and then sit in your port taking the rust.
