Supertest: TT-130M, Czech Tier IX Reward Heavy Tank [23 Nov ’23]

2 min read

A bizarre new tier IX Czech heavy appeared on Supertest today, taking the form of a modernized Škoda T 56 with a Chinese gun and rocket boosters(???):

IX TT-130M

The TT-130M is a Czechoslovakian Tier IX special heavy tank. It is a significantly modernized version of the T-56 heavy tank, boasting an elevated level of protection.

One of the TT-130M’s key features is its successful combination of components from both Soviet and Chinese heavy tanks. Thanks to these enhancements, the tank is equipped with a powerful Chinese 130 mm gun, delivering an impressive damage per shot of 490 HP. However, its high damage is counterbalanced by a lengthy reload time.

The vehicle is powered by a robust 550 hp engine supplemented with jet boosters. It’s important to note that the tank has four charges of jet boosters, which are significantly more powerful than their Chinese counterparts.

Yes, you read that right — similarly to how the VIII 🇨🇳WZ-111 model 6 (which itself is currently exclusive to the Chinese game region) shares components with Czech vehicles (with its turret and gun being copied over from the TNH T Vz. 51), the TT-130M takes a couple components from Chinese heavy tanks (namely, its gun and rocket boosters). Perhaps this may indicate the vehicle is intended to be another regional exclusive?

Regardless, this vehicle is a bit of a departure from the norm for a Czech heavy, given it only features a cyclic gun (no optional autoloader here) and includes the aforementioned rocket booster charges (supposedly being stronger than the Chinese ones, but their stats have not yet been published). This all comes in spite of the TT-130M representing a(seemingly-hypothetical)n upgrade to an existing “fully-Czech” tank, the Škoda T 56.

All this being said, while we do know it is currently intended as a reward vehicle (rather than a premium), it is otherwise not yet known where this vehicle will appear in the game/whether it will be region-locked or not. Stay tuned for more info.
