World of Warships Supertest: US Cruiser USS Salem

2 min read

USS Salem (CA-139) is one of three Des Moines-class heavy cruisers completed for the United States Navy shortly after World War II. Commissioned in 1949, she was the world’s last heavy cruiser to enter service and the only one still in existence. She was decommissioned in 1959, after serving in the Atlantic and Mediterranean

Some Reddit topics say this will be a Tier IX warship, but according to the stats in the Russian page, it will be available at Tier X.

Confirmed it will be a Tier X warship, but no details if this will be a Premium or Regular warship.

  1. It seems that Wargaming is running out of new ships so they have to resort to launching sister ships by copy pasting existing ships in order to introduce “new” ships..

  2. To be fair, there isn’t a lot of ship designs out there to introduce to the game. So this will happen more often as more ship are introduced.

  3. Asashio, Super Akizuki? Maybe finish the IJN gunboat line first… Ooyodo, Agano, Tone? Hiei? Hiyou? Akagi? Chitose? Or balance the old, IJN and USN, lines to be on par with KM, RN and Soviets for compe***ive. Fix IJN torps to not be ****?
