Supertest: Pan-Asian Tier IX Premium Cruiser Dalian
3 min readHistorical background
Dalian, just like Harbin, is based on the Soviet MK-6 AA cruiser design from the 1930s. This design had a main battery consisting of five twin turrets with 130 mm guns.
Unlike Harbin, Dalian features a modernized armament from the 50s with a modern main battery and anti-air. Also, compared to the tech tree ships, Dalian has standard torpedoes and a Hydroacoustic Search instead of a Torpedo reload booster and a Defensive AA Fire.

Personal Opinion
I will be honest, generally, I hate premiums that don’t follow the concept of the line they are being introduced with but here, it’s relatively fine as you really only lose the deepwater torpedoes and arguably, it’s an advantage as you can get surprise torp hits on DDs and submarines.
As for the ship’s stats, it looks fairly nice but might be more focused on the guns than the high-tier tech tree ships that have a hefty torpedo armament.

Thanks for the very nice reviews again. I often read them before buying new Premium ships. I was wondering what exactly was the difference between the Dalian and the Sejong, cheers.
Is there any way to let us know which in game currency premiums will be bought with , or if it will be real money ?
If it’s below tier X, ***ume that it will be for real money/doubloons. As for resources like coal, research points or steel, we can only know the price right before they get released.
