Supertest: Italian Tier IX Destroyer Adriatico

Historical background

According to Wargaming, Adriatico was a design of large destroyer from OTO for the Regia Marina. However, the design was rejected and would later turn into what we know today as the Tashkent offered to the Soviet Union as the general form can attest.

Now, I didn’t get the confirmation yet of whether it’s a “what-if story” or the actual background of the Tashkent so take it with a pinch of salt.

Personal Opinion

This time, we are definitely looking at a gunboat you don’t want to underestimate. With her firepower, the ship would quite easily be able to take on enemy destroyers in gunfights and whenever she might need it, she will always have her “Get out of jail for free” card in the form of the Exhaust Smoke Generator. With the 38 mm penetration of the SAP, she is now also able to threaten U.S. high-tier battleships.

just like the Cuniberti, her main battery firing range is reasonable and can be improved by Main Battery and AA Expert as well as Sansonetti’s Far Reach. This would give her a maximum firing range of 10.97 km. Before you tell me about Gun Fire Control System Modification 2, you can stop right here because both Adriatico and Attilio Regolo don’t have access to this upgrade on the 6th slot.
