  1. …and when the countdown hits Zero, they shut down the servers…
I really want to know the number of players actually still playing since 2.0. WG claims to have more players since 2.0, but I am sure, they only count the release day numbers, when the server was filled with people giving WoWp a second chance (for at least one battle), and veterans losing all hope in the game.
That’s what I read into WG’s strategy of suddenly selling all those planes (which have been “rare” or rewarded for finishing missions/Marathons until 1.9) in the Premium Shop. The quick buck before the pulled plug.

A sad ending to a nice game in an incompetent company’s hands …

  2. Well.. The pre-order Mutant is available on WoT and the online players number claims the game is far from dying.

    Moneygrab? Definetely. It’s WG.
Servers shutdown? I doubt it will happen in the close future. Especially since they heavily invested in a new version of the game and the fact they kept the servers running despite the initial failure.

WoWP may be less complex now, but its is definetely more fun and eye-candy than its terrible first iteration. I understand those who loved the old system are disappointed but personnally, I like that change. Of course, there is room for improvements (anti-ground MG which suck at taking out planes? wtf), but I am giving it an new chance, along with 3 friends and we enjoy our time on WoWP 2.0. And I doubt we are the only ones.
