Update 1.20.1 Preliminary Release Dates

Get ready — after its initial delay (spurred by the recently-announced major changes to WoT Plus and the Crew Rework), Update 1.20.1 will be released to the live servers very soon!

The preliminary release dates for Update 1.20.1 are as follows:

🌏 ASIA: Monday, 1 May 2023
🇺🇸 NA: Tuesday, 2 May 2023
🇪🇺 EU: Wednesday, 3 May 2023

As a quick refresher, this update will primarily feature the following new features/changes:

• New branch of Japanese tank destroyers (starting from the Chi-He, at 13,550 XP)
  • VHo-Ni III
  • VIJi-Ro
  • VIIChi-To SP
  • VIIIHo-Ri 2
  • IXHo-Ri 1
  • XHo-Ri 3

• Onslaught: Season of the Crimson Griffon
• Recon Mission for Random events and Dynamic Cover (launching in May 2023): Himmelsdorf, Prokhorovka, Ruinberg, Safe Haven
• WoT Plus Subscription (NOT including free demounting of bond equipment, as that was cancelled due to player feedback)
• Some small quality-of-life improvements to the crew system (NOT the rework of perks, as that was cancelled due to player feedback):
  • Unification of perks and skills into perks (all now taking effect from 1%, with reduced effectiveness until 100%)
  • Removal of XP penalties for injured crew members
  • Addition of in-battle interface elements for situational perks
  • Clearer descriptions of perks and their effects
  • Display of all perks’ effects in the vehicle characteristics widget
  • Minor updates to two perks:
    • Mentor: The Commander’s bonus has been added
    • Sound Detection: The principle that reduced the alert delay (in the process of training the perk) has been added
• Battle Pass: Collections Feature (additional free tokens + Battle Pass lore)
