Under the Hammer: Fifth Deal Revealed
2 min readFrom January 14–19, you will have a chance to receive very rare vehicles for gold or Free Experience. For this, you’ll need to make a bid at a special auction and win.
The last item of the day is the Type 59 G, a Tier VIII Chinese medium tank.

How It Works
- From January 14 through January 19, visit the new Under the Hammer! section in the in-game Store, or take a look at the pop-up in the lower-right corner in the Garage.
- Every day at 10:00 CET, a new lot will be displayed there. You will see how many items are available, as well as the lot’s starting price in gold or Free Experience.
Remember: If the cost is specified in gold, Free Experience is not accepted, and vice versa. - Make a bid that you are ready to pay. This amount will be deducted from your account.
- Only one lot will be available for Free Experience during the auction. If an item is sold for Free Experience, you will see a competitive bid when the number of bids on it exceeds the number of items. What is it? As many highest bids are accepted as there are available items: the one in the middle of this list is the competitive one. If you make a competitive bid (or even outbid it), you can count on winning the auction.
- Bids are accepted until 06:00 CET of the next day after the announcement of the lot. Until that time, you can change your bid as many times as you like—you can even cancel it. If you cancel a bid, the gold/XP will be returned to your account. Bids will be returned and lots will be credited to the auction winners within four hours after the end of accepting bids.
- The number of winning bids is determined by the number of available items. If the number of highest bids exceeds the number of remaining vehicles, the earliest bids will be given priority among others of the same value.

Type 59, the offer starts at 25,000 gold, I don’t know if I should cry or laugh. I think WG is trying to squeeze everything out, I mean type 59 was their big success in BM, so why not try to get the same amount of income this time too.
In summary, this “Under the Hammer” was a little disappointing for me. Two VERY expensive tank styles (2D and 3D), one new tank (sold about 16k gold, whose “rare” status will be on the same level as the E25 or M6A2E1, so I think it will be on sale at a normal price at least a couple of times a year), one new TD (sold about 550k exp, new tank it self was nice add, also the free exp currency was good..but 550k or something was too much) and a WG money maker tank, now in gold plated.
I hope this “Under the Hammer” did not replace the Black Market.
Last year some players were able to get Type59 Gold for 5K gold, if they got it in the key for the random warehouse! 😀
Black Market is pretty much dead I think, after so many years the same event with little changes, and so many complaints against it, WG just used what people said it was good: one deal per day and an auction! This made the deal available to everyone who wanted to participate and not to have to get up at god forbidden hours! Now, was the event any good? Not really! One new Premium tank for a ridiculous price tag, a “new” Tier X TD that was way to expensive for Free XP and 3 m***ively overpriced styles… lol Event served it purpose, got some players to use their Gold/Free Experience. Now, the ones who used to much gold, will have to buy more if they want to use it for Battle P*** etc, and the ones who spent to much Free XP will now use Gold to convert more xD
