Supertest: Škoda T 45 Complete Characteristics
3 min readThe first Czechoslovakian heavy tank entering Supertest is the Škoda T 45. The Škoda T 45 will be a Tier VII Premium heavy tank, most likely to be sold ahead of the heavy tank branch is implemented in the game, and both will be released during 2021.
During the Stream of the Year, the developers didn’t share many details about the upcoming Czechoslovakian heavy tanks, so we do not know where the branch will start, but most likely either Tier VI or Tier VII, as previous ones from other nations. The Škoda T-45 will be the 8th Tier VII Premium heavy tank introduced to the game.
The Škoda T 45 is supposed to be a heavy tank project developed in the mid-40s by Škoda by order of Porsche. The tank was to feature an electromechanical transmission in conjunction with a diesel engine, similar to what was used on the Porsche Tiger (P) heavy tank. This project never passed the design stage. The tank will feature an 88mm gun capable of firing AP, HEAT and HE with a shell velocity of 995m/s, 600m/s and 600m/s respectively.
Remember, all the characteristics are still subject to change, this is a Supertest after all, but if the Škoda T-45 stays anything similar to what it is now, I cannot see a great future for the tank in the game. The tank doesn’t feature great firepower or mobility and it’s survivability leaves much to be desired. Only testing and the future will tell us if the vehicle will be worth having in the garage at all.

single shot, low damage gun, no outstanding characteristics at all

I wouldn’t be surprised if they either add an autoloader or buff the gun (either alpha or reload). As it stands I can’t see much reason anybody would take this out instead of a Tiger I.
