Vehicles of this type fought as a part of the French units in 1943-44. In 1944, 36 vehicles from the Régiment colonial de chasseurs de chars were equipped with naval sights under the direction of the naval artillery engineer Silvère Sevrat. This made it possible to increase the range of fire to 3000 meters. The famous French actor Jean Gabin served as a commander of one of these vehicles.
A turreted TD with a powerful gun with a good elevation arc, but with insignificant armour and not the smallest in size. Repeating the tech tree M10 Wolverine in most characteristics, the vehicle has lower mobility due to a less powerful engine. On the other hand, a more accurate gun allows to deal damage from long distances and be less exposed to the enemy.
The M10 RFBM will be a Tier V Premium French tank destroyer added to the game, no details on how players will be able to obtain this vehicle have been shared but it could possibly be on sale or a similar marathon as the T-34E.

That’s cool for me. The only premium tanks I’m interested these days are low-tier tanks. I might even be tempted to spend some money on this one if the price is reasonable.

So slow, no gun, no armor. How is it a t5?

Isn’t it litteraly just the regular M10 Wolverine but French? The M10 has been in the game since forever, nobody complains. It’s a balanced tank (which I agree kinda means underpowered in the days of Defender and Obj430U but this one is tier V). Good gun but not OP, decent mobility neither too slow neither too fast, it has meh hull armor but a good gun mantlet and a turret…

“Repeating the tech tree M10 Wolverine in most characteristics, the vehicle has lower mobility due to a less powerful engine. On the other hand, a more accurate gun” hmm that is not more accurate lol, prob “less accurate” 0.43 vs 0.38 on the tech tree wolverine also horrible rof…

If only the AMX CDC weren’t already a premium “medium tank” (even though “Chasseur de Chars” is literally French for tank destroyer), that would’ve been an obvious vehicle to put in a turreted TD line.

I like tier V much more than high tier prems. – sure you earn less but it feels … you dont need most OP thing (while playing for example FCM I feel like Im putting my team to disadvantage) to stay competetive and basicaly everthing was real deal with flaws.
For me last two prems introduced here might spark interest in premium shop again.

Well, at least it’s inferior to the free version for a change, not blatantly superior like all new premiums pretty much.

TDB: “his made it possible to increase the range of fire to 3000 meters.”
WG: still has 600x600m maps with limited render-range in 2019
also TDB: 0_0

That is an historical reference, nothing related to the game of course 🙂

“On the other hand, a more accurate gun allows to deal damage from long distances and be less exposed to the enemy.” Accuracy is .05 worse than tech tree variant. . .

The exact name of this unit is régiment blindé des fusiliers marins, so RBFM and absolutly not RFBM. It was the TD regiment of the Leclerc famous 2nd armoured division which entered in Paris just before evening 24th august 1944.
