Supertest: 114 SP2 Chinese New Tier X Tank Destroyer

2 min read

Did you ask new Chinese tank destroyers to Father Christmas? Today, the Chinese Tier X tank destroyer 114 SP2 will be joining the Supertest.

The first thing that is worth mentioning is: it has a turret! The second thing is that it equipped with a 152 mm gun fitted in a 360-degree revolving turret and boasts 650 HP of single-shot damage!

The vehicle also has relatively weak armour. Even its frontal armour plates don’t get thicker than 135 mm. The vehicle has a specific power of 15.6 h.p./t which enables it to reach speeds of up to 45 km/h. Total HP: 2,000.

While armour penetration by the standard armour-piercing and special APCR shells is 273 and 329 mm, the vehicle features an aiming time of 2.3 s, an accuracy of 0.35, and a reload speed of 16.6 s.

Weak armour, turret, huge gun, decent mobility, who asked for a new Chinese tank destroyer? No detailed plan was shared about the fate of the vehicle, but would you like to have it in your garage? Let us know in the comment section.

  1. Everyone: Please WG add Japanese TD’s
    WG: HMMMM new Chinese TD!

  2. Gonna be honest, at first I thought this was the fake Type 5 based TD WG was said to be using for the Japanese TD line.

I do like the look of it, would like some information on what it’s based off, if it’s even based off a real design or completely fabricated. If it comes as part of a turreted TD line for the Chinese then I might just start grinding for it

    1. A fake TD based on the Type 5 Heavy? I hadn’t heard that rumor. Doesn’t seem like it’d be necessary to make something like that up either.

    2. @Shinimegami I may be remembering wrong, but I believe it was said in a Q&A by WG themselves. But it wouldn’t be the first time WG have made fake tanks (Chinese TD line, T28 Proto/T110E4, etc), or even made up parts of historical tanks (like the hulls on the T110’s, the turret of the T110E5, the Emil 1, etc).

I agree it’s unessessary but WG finds the need to do it anyway

  3. I”m going to get it and spam gold so that this can be more hated than artillery !! Long live fake tanks !!

  4. Definitely NO. For this tank to be OP it need more speed and h.p/weight or more armor. It look like practically identical from the Obj.268 v5 but without armor.

  5. this will be an opener for a new Russian TD tank line – SU 122 54, k91PT and obj 268 v5 for sure!

    1. Why would a Chinese Tier X TD be an opener for a Russian TD branch?
