  1. Not necessarily. The air-dropped torps being tested on Graf Zeppelin for example only hit BBs and CVs. This is all open to whatever WG wants, and I remember WG saying they were gonna test DW torps on shimakaze that could only hit BBs/CVs.
Only thing that matters here is that shima gets the torp reload booster. Honestly something she didn’t need but it’s fine I suppose. Would’ve preferred a flat buff to torpedo concealment across the board on the IJN, but alas.

  2. IJN DDS got the shaft again with the inclusion of Pan Asia’s DW… Meanwhile this DW torps can only hit BBs and CVs as it is stated on these notes their running depth is almost 9 metres. Des Moines and Hipper’s draft: around 8 m, Kutuzov 6 m and so on…

About damn time IJN torps get an across the board concealment buff…

Also, the initial Shima torps nerf was meant to reduce the toxic torpedo soup, now WG gives torpedo reload…. 30 torps in 30 secs…

Adding DW torps which can only hit BB’s (and CVs) is the most obvious and lame way of fighting the BB overpopulation… This might be cynical, but it is the only explanation I find…

  3. These torps can hit only BBs and CVs. Well, still want to know what a new hull is for.

  4. Wargaming scrapped the draft and running depth idea i believe and they simply went for a can/cannot cl*** based hit system for dw torpedoes. So dd dw torps can hit cruisers as inferred by the pan-asian dd line not the WIP Graf Zepplin.

  5. The issue here is that you are using the Graf Zeppelin as an example here whereas it is far more better to use ships that aren’t wip such as the already added Pan-Asian DDs whose DW torps can in fact hit cruisers.
