World of Warships Supertest: Japanese Battleship Ashitaka

1 min read

The Amagi class was a series of four battlecruisers planned for the Imperial Japanese Navy as part of the Eight-eight fleet. The ships were to be named Amagi, Akagi, Atago, and Ashitaka. The Amagi design was essentially a lengthened version of the Tosa-class battleship, but with a thinner armored belt and deck and a modified secondary battery arrangement.

Ashitaka will be the upcoming tier VII premium IJN battleship, based on the old A-hull of the Amagi. She follows the same ‘large-brush’ camouflage pattern of the Shinonome and Mutsu. All stats are listed without crew and upgrade modifiers, and are subject to change before the final release.

  1. If you read through the eight-eight fleet plan, the fourth ship of the Amagi cl*** should be Takao. But actually at first Japanese named this ship as A****aka and changed her name when construction began. We already have an ARP Takao in game so wg use A****aka, ??(????) in Japanese, as her name.
