World of Tanks – Fourth Wave of Bans

1 min read

Hello everyone,

If you use illegal mods don’t think you are safe, the fourth wave of bans has arrived and will continue. No information on how many this time, but there are already players complaining they have been banned and on the Russian server it’s the usual sh*tstorm, where cheaters claim they are innocent and they didn’t know what they were using.

I’ll update the article as soon as more information is available.

Update #1

Official numbers are all out, here’s what has been published so far:

EU Server

  • 2,891 Players received their first warning and a 7 days ban;
  • 898 Players received their second warning and received permanent bans.

RU Server

  • 18,871 Players received their first warning and a 7 days ban;
  • 5,453 Players received their second warning and received permanent bans.

SEA Server

  • 201 Players received their first warning and a 7 days ban;
  • 51 Players received their second warning and received permanent bans.

NA Server

  • 275 Players received their first warning and a 7 days ban;
  • 88 Players received their second warning and received permanent bans.

  1. Or you play like before, with mods and don’t get frustrated by the game…
    Tundra, autoaim snap and broken destructibles it is for me.
    And you know why?
    Because fair play my *** wargaming…

  2. There are not enough wave of bans as cheaters in game…moore waves pls wg.

  3. wonder if you don’t allowed all mods in this game, I would be happy and to the rest of players never use of mods

  4. The most interesting thing is the obvious cultural influence. Compare and contrast the numbers between regions and one can see how acceptable cheating is as a “way of life.” Having lived overseas, it looks to me like the level of cheating in WOT is related to the perceived degree of government corruption in that country or region.

  5. no that’s far from true I could see why youd think that but the na server is much smaller then the Russian server and eu server so naturally the server with the most people on it would get the most bans

  6. RU: 24k of 3.5M players banned -> 0.7% cheaters
    EU: 3.8k of 1M players banned -> 0.4% cheaters
    NA: 360 of 200k players banned -> 0.2% cheaters
    SEA: 250 of 150k players banned -> 0.2% cheaters

    player counts from http://wot-news.com/stat/server

  7. one can also say the tendency to relate data to random opinions and preconceived ideas shows an “obvious cultural influence”.

  8. with that said almost 1% of active player base banned is kind of extreme!

  9. Better to pay money to WG to buy premium account, tanks or amo so you can cheat “officially”. Wasting months trying to get a tier X and loosing tons of money because all noobs use premium amo and armor becomes $*it… GG

  10. For the fourth time, WG Asia is the most lenient in handing out bans. They consistently ban less than NA, the least populated of all servers. Yet Asia bans less by percentage and straight up numbers. It’s definitely not that there are less cheaters to ban on Asia. Sad, but good if you’re like the Vietnamese and can’t even log in without hacks.

  11. Well, only a minority is using illegal mods. Furthermore WoT wouldn’t have the same level of quality it has today compared to a couple of years ago, if it weren’t for Mods
