World of Warships Supertest: Pan-European Tier V Destroyer Muavenet
4 min readHistorical background
TCG Muavenet was an I-class destroyer of the Royal Navy. The ship was laid down in May 1939, and planned to be delivered to Turkey once completed. However, the start of the Second World War saw this plan getting thrown out of the window. The ship was then purchased in September 1939 and renamed HMS Inconstant. She would then be launched in February 1941 and commissioned in January 1942.
The ship would spend the war serving in the Atlantic, notably taking part in the assault on Madagascar. She would later sink the submarines U-409 in July 1943 and U-767 in June 1944. After the war, she was returned to Turkey in March 1946 and re-renamed Muavenet. Muavenet would then stay in service until she was decommissioned in 1960 and later scrapped.
Ship’s preview
For the classic reminder, this is a ship in testing, anything can change so don’t look at her like she would already be released.

The Armor

Personal Opinion
The ship looks pretty bad right now. While the firepower and concealment are decent-ish, her torpedo power is pretty damn bad because of the short torpedo range and laughable damage. She also suffers from horrible firing angles, having the same Smoke Generator as Soviet destroyers and while she has an additional charge of Engine Boost with a shorter cooldown, it also comes with a shorter consumable duration.
